Breakdown:

As per usual for me, I set the tone early by taking Compulsive Research over Putrefy. I view the two cards as being fairly close in power, with Putrefy slightly ahead. But the dual mana cost and my preference for Blue push me to take the Research. It also gives me a chance to set up the two drafters to my left in Black, with the next two cards taken probably being Putrefy and Brainspoil. 4th pick Selesnya Guildmage was a complete gift (yes, I was in the 4-3-2-2 queue, sew me - there were 3 1750 + guys in the queue), though it didn't really play much in the games. I take Dowsing Shaman over Griffin at the 5 spot, wanting to keep my options open as to whether I'm u/w or u/g now. Either way, the plan is to cut Izzet in pack two, and that plan starts off beautifully with Ogre Savant over Repeal first pick and Izzet Chronarch over Torch Drake second. I tend to value Chronarch over the flyers in Guildpact because of the ability to pick up cheap flyers in Dissension. The only other semi-difficult pick was Pick 5 in Dissension, where I took a Rakdos Carnarium over my second Azorius Guildmage. At that point, it was pretty clear I wasn't going to get any Signets, so with the curve I was looking at my ideal mana base is 16 lands with 3-4 karoos. I only had 2 bounce at the time, and no gaurantee I would get another. My 2 drop spot was good, so the land was the choice.

I 3-0'ed this draft, with Compulsive Research being my real MVP. In 4 games I managed to cast the Research and then Chronarch it back. Amazing how many games you will win when you see 6 or more cards than your opponent.
